Access to Work Coaching for Neurodivergent Professionals

If you have dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or another form of neurodivergence, and you are in employment or about to start a new job, you may be eligible for funding through the Government’s Access to Work scheme to cover the cost of workplace strategy coaching.

Access to Work is a grant from the Department for Work and Pensions. It is designed to help neurodivergent and disabled people in work get the support they need to do their job well. Crucially, you have the freedom to choose your own provider. That means you can choose a coach who genuinely understands your experience, not just someone assigned to you.

I am an ICF accredited neurodiversity coach with lived experience of dyslexia and ADHD. I work with neurodivergent professionals across the UK to develop practical workplace strategies, build confidence, and create sustainable ways of working that fit how their brain actually works.

What Access to Work Coaching Can Cover

Workplace strategy coaching through Access to Work can support you with a range of areas, including:

Developing practical strategies for managing workload, focus and time Building executive functioning skills and organisational approaches that work for you Strengthening confidence and self-advocacy at work Managing energy and reducing overwhelm Navigating relationships, communication and workplace expectations Understanding and working with your neurodivergent strengths

Coaching sessions are tailored entirely to your individual needs and the goals set out in your Access to Work award. Sessions can be delivered online or, where appropriate, in person.

Am I Eligible for Access to Work?

You may be eligible for Access to Work funding if you have a physical or mental health condition or disability, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dyspraxia, or other forms of neurodivergence, that affects your ability to do your job.

You do not need a formal diagnosis to apply in all cases. Access to Work considers the impact of your condition on your working life, not just the label.

Access to Work funding is available whether you are employed, self-employed, or about to start a new role. It is worth applying even if you are unsure whether you qualify, as many people are surprised to find they are eligible.

For full eligibility information and to apply, visit the Government’s Access to Work page at gov.uk.

Why Work With Kirsty

As a proudly dyslexic and ADHD coach with a background in HR and business, I bring something to Access to Work coaching that goes beyond qualifications alone. I know from the inside what it feels like to navigate a working world that was not always designed with neurodivergent people in mind. That lived experience shapes every conversation.

Practically, I bring:

ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation, meeting the professional standards required for Access to Work funded coaching

A background in HR and Operations Management, giving me a grounded understanding of workplace dynamics and expectations

Specialist knowledge of dyslexia, ADHD, and neurodivergence, developed through both professional training and personal experience

A warm, calm, and practical approach that focuses on what genuinely works for you, not a one size fits all set of strategies

Coaching that is shaped around your Access to Work award and the goals that matter most to you

How to Get Started

If you already have Access to Work funding in place, get in touch and we can discuss how your award can be used to fund your coaching sessions and what that would look like in practice.

If you are in the process of applying, or thinking about applying, I am happy to have an initial conversation about the scheme and whether my coaching would be a good fit for your award.

If you are not yet sure whether Access to Work is right for you, that is fine too. The first conversation is always without obligation, and we can simply talk through your situation and what support might look like.

Whether you have Access to Work funding ready to use, are in the process of applying, or simply want to find out more, I would love to hear from you. Get in touch and let’s have a conversation about how I can support you.
